9:00pm: Lights out.
Liam: "I can't sleep!"
Mommy: "I put you to bed exactly 4 minutes ago. That's not long enough to fall asleep."
Liam: "But I can't sleep!"
Mommy: "Keep trying."
Liam: "But I tried 20 times!"
Mommy: *Laughs* "20 times in 4 minutes? How did you try?"
Liam: "I counted to 60."
Mommy: "Why stop there?"
Liam: "I got bored of it."
Mommy: "Boring stuff makes you sleepy. Continue to count."
Liam: "I also tried to think of beaches and waterfalls but that didn't work too."
Mommy: "Ok, what else is boring to you? Homework? Think of homework. Or even better, you can practice for your Rock Star Talent Show on Friday - sing sing sing until you fall asleep."
Liam: "Awww that's boring!"
Mommy: "Perfect then! Off you go to bed! Shoo shoo."
Liam: *Frowns*
